Help Make the 2010 Season a Success!

The Charlotte Eagles have a great need for volunteers during the summer soccer season. The largest need for volunteers is on game days, helping to put on the event and throughout the year as host families.

It is our goal to have all volunteers in place by March 1, 2010.

A few of the volunteer positions include, setup, ticket takers, ticket both attendants, novelty booth attendants, concessions, parking attendants, clean up and more. If you are interested in volunteering or have a group that would like to volunteer for service hours then please contact:

Participate by Hosting a Charlotte Eagle Player!

"Hosting players has brought so many blessings to our family. Our children now have adopted siblings across the world. Each player has touched our hearts and has truly become a member of our family and blessed our every day life. Thirteen years, eleven players, three children, and still going strong."

Host Families are a great asset to the Charlotte Eagles organization and ministry. The Players come to Charlotte with many needs and not able to afford their own living arrangements. Host Families provide this need to players through free housing. Through the ministry of hosting a player your family is able to impact a life as well as assist that player to impact many lives for Christ through the Charlotte Eagles. It is a great example of the church body doing its part to build the kingdom.

Definition of a host family…

Host families are asked to adopt a Charlotte Eagle player into their home and family for the duration of the summer season in Charlotte. This time includes preseason (the end of March) through playoffs (the end of August). This simply involves providing a place for the player to stay and a family to be a part of while they are in Charlotte. The Eagles also need families that are willing to host players for short term stays such as tryouts, tours, etc.

The Costs involved…

The host family is asked to have the player join them for meals with their family, but other than that, there are not any additional expenses.

What about transportation…

Players who do not have their own car while in Charlotte, will be picked up and transported by other members of the team. Host families are NOT expected to provide transportation to hosted players.
