Jorge "Mono" Herrera will be playing his 3rd season with the Charlotte Eagles in 2009. The Bogota, Colombia native is a high possession player and serves the ball with pinpoint accuracy. As proven in his fantastic 2008 season with the Eagles, Herrera is very creative in the attack and can score with both feet.

Herrera has played most of his career in Colombia where he played for Independiente Santage, Atletico Nacional, Deportes Quindo and Millionarios. He has also played in Argentina for Huracan and in Paraguay for Club Guarani.

In March of 2009, Herrera signed a 3 year deal with Charlotte that will see him wearing orange through 2011.
