EAGLES SUFFER 4-1 LOSS TO RICHMOND ON THE ROAD
EAGLES SEEK REVENGE AT HOME SATURDAY NIGHT

(Richmond, VA) - The Charlotte Eagles faced the league-leading Richmond Kickers tonight.   The Richmond Kickers (10-1-2, 32 points) gained three points on the Charlotte Eagles (9-5-1, 28 points) tonight with a 4-1 final score during the first leg of this weekend's home-and-home series.  Kickers midfielder Matt Watson led the team, netting two goals and contributing two assists while Ricky Schramm and David Bulow notched a goal apiece.  Charlotte's only goal of the night was delivered by Dan Harvey, assisted by Jacob Coggins.  The two teams swap home field advantage, heading for Charlotte to finish the series Saturday night.

 

Saturday nights rematch at Waddell Stadium is Gifts for Gulu Night.  Gifts For Gulu Night is an evening of professional soccer dedicated to raising awareness and support for the impoverished children of Gulu, Uganda.   Through the efforts of Sports Outreach Institute, the Charlotte Eagles and the Richmond Kickers, groundbreaking of the Good News Community Center began in January of this year as a facility to help support the children of this war torn region.   On Saturday night you can help by bringing new or used sports equipment or clothing, or a financial contribution to help Sport Outreach Institute and the Good News Community Center.  For more information on Gifts for Gulu visit www.GiftsForGulu.com.
