(Wilmington, NC) - The Charlotte Eagles faced the Wilmington Hammerheads tonight at Wilmington's Legion Stadium.   Charlotte and Wilmington played to a 2-2 draw with Charlotte goals from Taurai Daka and Jamal Sutton. 

The Charlotte Eagles scored the first goal of the match just three minutes into the game.   Eagles defender Ben Johnson set up the goal with a long throw from the right side to Steve Shak.  Shak flicked the ball back to the far post with a header for Taurai Daka, who hit the ball home for the 1-0 lead.

Wilmington answered in the 27^th minute of play.  Wilmington recovered a Charlotte clearance attempt and fired a shot back toward goal.  The rebound came out directly to Wilmington midfielder George Corrie who headed it in past Eagles goalkeeper Dan Benton.

Charlotte took back the lead just four minutes later.  Danny Harvey played the ball forward from the midfield to Jamal Sutton.  Sutton turned to goal and fired an instep drive from 16 yards out.  Goalkeeper Tyler Ketterning got a piece of the shot but couldn't keep it from slipping inside the post.

Wilmington scored the lone goal of the second half in the 77^th minute to tie the game at 2-2.  The Wilmington goal came off the cornerkick.  Dan Benton jumped up and intercepted the serve, but the ball was knock loose on his way down.   The ball trickled into the Charlotte goal.
