Charlotte Eagles to kick start second year of club with tryouts
The Charlotte Eagles are proud to announce that they are starting their second year as a youth soccer club this week. Tryouts are taking place all around the city of Charlotte including locations such as the Hemby Center, Covenant Day School, Matthews Sportsplex and the Brace YMCA. More than 500 kids are registered to tryout this week for a spot on one of these teams.
In preparation, the Charlotte Eagles have added five incredible coaches to their coaching staff. Along with these coaches, the club is run by CEYC directors Josh Wood and Travis Jones and Mark Steffens. These three rave about the quality of coaches that are on staff.
Josh Wood states that “Time and time again we hear from our parents that these coaches are unlike anything they have experienced at another club. They deliver on the promises of excellence in soccer and transformation in their kid’s lives through the message of Jesus Christ.”
Wood stated that “we have over 500 kids at tryouts. We will be adding several teams to our club. Tryout registrations have more than doubled since last year, and almost every kid that played on our team last year has signed up to attend tryouts again this year.”
