Missionary Athletes International is a nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Missionary Athletes International (MAI) began in 1983 and is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). Contributions are solicited with the understanding that Missionary Athletes International has complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds.
