Each practice will focus on a specific and foundational soccer technique (I.e. dribbling, passing, shooting, etc.). During the session, the players will enjoy practicing these techniques through engaging activities that are appropriate for their age and skill level. Our coaching method relies heavily on constant engagement as we limit activities which include standing in lines. 

Practice sessions are built around foundational soccer skills which are tethered to character traits. We will introduce these topics at the beginning of practice, and then discuss how to demonstrate them in life and on the soccer field.

Eagles Rec follows CESC policy regarding weather. 

Activities will be cancelled if:  

• Lightning or extreme weather is present*

• Extreme heat (see below) 

• Fields are too wet due to heavy rainfall 

  *Heat Index Recommendations: 
  - Up to 89° - Normal play 
  - 90° to 99° - Mandatory two-minute water breaks per half with running time. 
  - 100° to 105° - Mandatory two-minute water breaks per half with running time. Each half shortened by ten minutes. 105° - Suspend play 

*If lightning is within 10 miles the game(s) or practice(s) should be suspended and all players should take shelter for 30 minutes.

All registrations must be completed ONLINE by August 11, 2026.  All late registrations will be pushed to a waitlist. We will then invite players off the waitlist as we finalize team placement.

We are proud to offer trained and employed head coaches for each of our teams!  This can include parents who are interested! Our vision is that they will not only teach your kids soccer basics in an organized manner across each of our teams, but also character and life lessons.

The purpose of evaluations is simply to help us build balanced teams. While the word "evaluation" can sound intense, this is a fun and low-pressure way for us to see players in action before we create rosters. Players can expect a quick warm-up followed by an organized scrimmage—we just want to see them play and enjoy themselves!

All players should bring:

• A soccer ball (name on it)

• A water bottle

• Shin guards

• Soccer cleats or turf shoes

For Games - players will be provided a jersey only

The season is 9 weeks long starting in late August and wrapping up at the end of October.

The season consists of 9 practices, and at most 8 games.

Eagles Rec teams are Co Ed with five age divisions. If your daughter is U8-U10, we highly recommend signing them up for our NEW Girls Development League

Charlotte Eagles REC League games are played on Saturdays between 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM.

U6 - 3v3 no goalkeepers
U8 - 4v4 no goalkeepers
U10 - 6 v 6 with goalkeepers
U12 - 7 v 7 with goalkeepers

No! Each player will receive an Adidas jersey at the beginning of the season.
